What a fabulous idea, Mary Jo! I have a whole bunch of those chargers - picked up a box of them at a garage sale years ago and I don't use them - I have the ones I use.....I think I'd like to try this.

Wouldn't a pastel paid be pretty on a whimsical eASTER tablescape? I think you should get Scotchguard and spray them so the fabric stays a little bit "stain resistant," though, don't you? People are sloppy eaters!

Well done, thanks for the great idea and inspiration!

Mary Jo, this plaid lover is oohing and ahhing over these! :) I have done this before years ago with a Valentine plate and I still have it. Love the layering of your dishes. Happy New Year and thanks for sharing with SYC.

Oh my gosh you have opened up a world of possibilities for me, thank you! I was quite mad for plaid over the holidays and fought back temptation to buy the expensive pre-made chargers. Thanks again!

That is a cute idea! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home and Happy New Year!

Modge Podge works for this, too....I did some chargers in tan burlap, red burlap, and a tan burlap with birds! All from Joann's.
