I love the glass/crystal containers that you have them in. So pretty in the sunlight!

Thank you for sharing your orchid wisdom. I used to have a co-worker who had green thumbs when it came to orchids. The window they were in had "just enough" light and she "watered" them once a week with one or two ice cubes! It worked for her. Being an awful prankster, I once stuck a faux magenta stem into one of her unblooming pots! She knew EXACTLY who had done it as soon as she walked into the office!

Great tips, I have been thinking lately that I need to add these beauties to my house plant list. They seemed so picky before you described their needs. They look so exotic I guess I thought their care would be too.

Thanks so much Jenny. They have worked perfectly for these orchids. I’ve always wondered if the fact that light gets through to the roots helps at all? I’ll have to look into that. xo- MJ

Hi Kathy! You are a total prankster. Lol. Thanks for stopping by. xo- MJ

Hi Christine! I’m so glad this helped you. I know they seem more delicate than they are. Let me know if you decide to get one! xo- MJ

Wow, you sound like an expert to ME! Your orchids are lovely and I love what you have them sitting in -- like a lovely display case. I always thought I'd kill one but maybe not!? Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. xo Kathleen

Thanks so much Kathleen. I always thought orchids were so difficult until I was able to create the perfect environment for when they are dormant. They make ne smile. xo- mj

This is great information. I've killed my share of orchids over the years.

I love that you have had such success with these orchids-- somewhat by accident by moving it to your bathroom! But by repeating it year after year, you've shown it's not an accident after all. Thank you for sharing at Best of the Weekend Link Party-- I will be featuring you tomorrow!

Calypso in the Country

I really need to study your tips...I love orchids but do not have a green thumb at all! Thanks for sharing at Best of the Weekend! You were one of my features! (I just noticed Liberty featured you as well!) Have a great weekend!

I hope your orchids are still doing beautifully this year. I have two and don't know nearly enough about them to get them to bloom again so your post was very helpful. I have pinned this post to refer back to. Thanks so much for sharing. #HomeMattersParty
